There's nothing better than having someone think you're an amazing cook even if the pot boils over, someone gets cut chopping onions, it takes 2 hours longer than expected, you bought the wrong cheese, and only have one dish. The key is to cook for someone who regularly eats mac and cheese out of the pan... anything looks good compared to that.
